One of the industries that I particularly like, even in bad times, the advertising industry. These companies come in all colors and sizes. Some public books nothing but coupons. Others sell postcards packages for different types of businesses. Other variations are local community magazines which are distributed free at newsstands in supermarkets, health clubs and stores in target areas. I personally own one of these local community magazine called Last Magazine. Extra points this industry is that business gets worse, still need to advertise and expose companies to potential new prospects. Businesses need to advertise eventhough I hate to spend money and advertising is one of the first expenses that are cut. Regardless, if you buy an existing business or buying a franchise, you need to bring the first customer or just start from scratch on their own. The difference between success and failure is only one thing and one thing: the ability of owners \' and comfort level marketing
to sell advertising. It is possible to make substantial profits with a moderate amount of work. You are a salesperson and business owner can show a need to advertise. An untrained salesperson will not succeed in getting a good salesperson will succeed big time in the exact same activity. Salespersons are the highest paid professionals in the world. I know you thought it was a different profession, but is not. One hundred and twenty-five years ago sold the Diamond Jim Brady railway rolling stock (engines and cars) for railways, which were laying track across America and was paid a 10% commission on all sold them . What is the equivalent today of arms dealers who now sell jets to Kuwait. Top salesperson in the mid-size companies regularly make more money than the owner. This is, of course, only if the owner has no brain. Other business-related advertising including site builders, Internet and magazines. From case to case, these types of businesses can be a big undertaking own
.I my own magazine and others have assisted in assessing their individual advertising companies, which are on the market for sale. Therefore, we made extensive studies of all different types of advertising media and their plus and minus points. I would be happy to educate anyone interested in buying a business in this area.
